We manufactured a series of custom-made furniture for a villa in the United Arab Emirates. A private home owner in Dubai asked us to build bespoke furniture for his new real estate investment. We manufactured all the furnishings for a house. The items include a wide selection of bespoke pieces we made out of quality materials. The furnishings range from premium indoor to high-end garden items. We did several dining wooden tables with thick monkey pod slabs and black iron legs. We also created matching dining chairs inspired by Danish furniture design. The seats combine genuine Italian leather with grade A Indonesian solid teak. For the garden, we also weaved German synthetic rattan wicker around aluminium frames. We used Sunbrella fabric for the umbrella and massive Suar logs for the indoor coffee tables. Shou Sugi Ban or Yakisugi wood charring burnt furniture manufacturing.

We manufactured a series of wood burnt furniture for a shop located in Japan.

For this furniture series, we used the Shou Sugi Ban wood finishing technique.
Shou Sugi Ban is also known as Yakisugi. It is an age-old technique used in Japan to preserve the wood. For centuries, wood workers were charring Japanese cedar wood. The fire preserves and gives the wood a longer life. The technique is ecological and friendly to the environment. It needs no chemicals or solvents. The process starts by burning the wood surface. You can burn the wood to various degrees of char to achieve different looks. The longer you burn the wood and the darker it becomes.
After we finish to burn the wood, we can brush it to open the wood grains. A clear coating is also possible and will achieve a different result. Shou Sugi Ban offers many wood finishing options.
The wood finishing technique is straightforward. In ancient days, Japanese wood workers would put tree cedar planks together. They would join the boards in a standing position. They would then light a fire below the wood boards standing in a triangle shape. The wood would burn inside this tunnel fireplace for up to 15mn. Today, we use gas burners for more precision and flexibility. We burn the teak with a propane torch flame until we are happy with the wood finish. With gas burners, the burning process also takes 10 to 15mn per plank. After we char the wood, we spray it with water to cool it down. We then let the wood dry under the sun or inside our finishing oven. After the teak wood is dry, we start to brush it. Brushing the Yakisugi wood allows us to create more finishing looks. We can make the furniture look black like a charcoal. We can also play with a mix of natural teak wood with slight burnt layer. Between the two, we can create several hues of dark browns. Shou Sugi Ban is a creative wood finish process. It allows many results and all comes down to personal tastes and feels. Once we clean the charcoal dust, we let the teak planks dry again. Burnt wood doesn’t need any extra finish. It needs no chemical preservatives and no paints. Depending on the furniture use, we can use wood sealants or teak oils.

We manufactured a series of wood and resin furniture for a shop located in Germany.

Meanwhile, other people ask us to create a specific series for their retail store. The manufacturing process is always challenging and never boring. We strive to improve our skills on every project. This German customer required us to manufacture a series of hardwood and resin items. This was a creative process. We tried several combinations. We did some blue resin with drift wood inserts inside suar slabs with stainless steel legs. We created cube teak root stools with colored resin. For some coffee tables, we used solid teak wood and transparent resin over black iron legs. The result is a gorgeous series of hard wood and resin furnishings. Custom-made furniture manufacturing for an Abu Dhabi restaurant.

We manufactured custom-made furniture for a fine dine restaurant in United Arab Emirates.

We manufactured furniture for a luxury restaurant located in Abu Dhabi.
This customer already has successful restaurants in London, Miami and Dubai. We made this furniture for the new restaurant they opened in Abu Dhabi. The place serve some of the most celebrated fine food in the UAE capital city. We worked in collaboration with one of the best interior design studios from UK. Together we created custom-made restaurant furniture. We manufactured all restaurant furniture. Waiter stations, reception desk, dining tables, dining chairs, restaurant partitions and more. The theme of this Abu Dhabi restaurant is ‘Peru’. We tried to inject a Latin America feel to all the furniture we manufactured. We also finished all the furnishings with antique paints and rustic sanding. The cabinets are colorful with handmade paintings and wood carvings. The result looks like a mix of gorgeous items from a luxury antique dealer.
